Corporate Controller
Reporting to the Finance Director, we are looking for an experienced Corporate Controller who will be responsible of the overall management of all subsidiary’s activities relating to financial information, consolidation and controls in an international context in order to properly support our operations in an international scope. The Corporate Controller will be responsible of ensuring the Group maintains high quality financial information and will contribute to the evolution of our processes and controls to support the growth of the Group.Â

As a Corporate Controller your key accountabilities will involve:
Accounting and compliance
- Analyses complex financial accounting situations, produces accounting memos and leads the related execution plan.
- Reviews all critical, material and/or complex accounting elements in the consolidated financial statements.
- Supports the local controllers with identifying and aligning the local regulations (GAAPs, Tax, laws) with corporate and accounting policies and ensures this is reflected accordingly in the consolidated financial statements
- Coordinates all financial audits (including the local statutory audits and corporate audit).
Financial reporting
- Reviews monthly consolidated financial statements and prepares the monthly consolidated cash flow statements.
- Investigates significant variances to budget and previous months in collaboration with the local controllers.
Process Improvement and Team Leadership
- Identifies and implements financial processes improvements and ensures they are implemented and applied adequately by each location
- Participates in the integration of acquisitions.
- Supports the tax team on any tax optimisation strategies, compliance requirements and audits.
- Manages and coaches the corporate accounting team.
Treasury
- Coordinates the global treasury strategy.
- Forecasts global short term treasury needs. (1 to 3 months).
Qualifications
As a Corporate Controller your experience and qualifications will include:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with accounting certification CPA or equivalent.Â
- 10 years of financial accounting experience, including at least 5 years as a manager.
- Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS or ASPE
- Strong experience in consolidation in a multinational environment, with multi-currency and intercompany transactions.
- Experience with complex accounting.
- Experience using an ERP, D365 is an asset.Â
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, advance knowledge in Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multi-tasking.
- An excellent sense of initiative and strong analytical capabilities
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic and collaborative environment
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Bilingualism required – Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written
- Flexibility to to travel up to 20% or time
- Available to work at flexible hours with due colleagues in different time zones with colleagues
- Excellent communicator (part of the role involves interacting with a lot of people in different countries, and adapt to local reality and culture)
- Leadership and ability to influence and lead projects with people not directly reporting to him/her.
- Experience in leading process improvement or standardization projects as part of acquisition integration, is an asset.
- Experience in implementing corporate accounting policies and control, is an asset.
- Hybrid work model 3 days in office
