About the RoleiCapital is looking for a Corporate Finance Analyst or Associate that will work on stock options and equity management, shareholder management, and stakeholder inquiry. This role will also have financial reporting consolidation responsibilities, including monthly and quarterly reporting duties, as well as exposure to various ad hoc projects. This position will be a part of the Corporate Reporting team within Corporate Finance.
Responsibilities- Oversee rapidly growing area of stock options and equity:
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting pertaining to option exercises and taxable income calculation.
- Address shareholder inquiries and drafting internal and external stakeholder communications.
- Assist with employee training focused on stock options and equity.
- Liaise with Human Resources for the processing of option grants and option exercises.
- Help develop the area of stock options and equity in other international locations.
- Take on tax reporting responsibilities, such as calculations pertaining to stock options in various international locations, including providing relevant option exercise and taxable income information to interested parties in various international locations, drafting communications to stakeholders, consolidating data for various tax filings, such as forms 3921 and 1099-B in the United States.
- Assist with option exercise support for the creation of journal entries.
- Run reports using iCapital’s equity management software, Carta, and work with resulting data sets in Excel.
- Provide help on various ad hoc projects pertaining to the area of stock options and equity, such as working with external stakeholder auditors to provide investment confirmations.
- Identify and remediate process gaps and implement effective internal controls, improving internal processes.
- Potential to branch into different areas of Corporate Reporting (financial statements, corporate tax, etc.) as the role and candidate develops, opportunities surface, and department-level needs arise.
- Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required
- CPA / CFA license preferred
- 1-5+ years of Corporate Finance/Accounting/Auditing or other relevant experience within the Financial Services industry. Familiarity with Alternative Investments would be preferred, but not required
- Experience working in a fast-paced, self-starter environment preferred, or with clients of similar nature if coming from an accounting firm
- Familiar with equity-management software such as Carta, Solium Shareworks, or GlobalShares preferred
- Understand the company capital structure
- Familiar with Oracle NetSuite and/or General Ledger systems (i.e., SAP, PeopleSoft, Axiom) preferred, but not required
- Strong accounting knowledge, inclusive of booking revenue and expense journal entries and the resulting impact to the financial statements
- Have a desire to research and stay up to date with new accounting guidance and pronouncements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). At a minimum, knowledge of simple Excel formulas, Lookups, etc
- Able to multi-task and manage large sets of data; ability to implement checks and balances
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Writing experience preferred.
- Focused, detailed oriented with big picture capability
The base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $100,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
