About the RoleiCapital is looking to hire a Corporate Accountant to join the Corporate Finance team. This role will involve accounting and reporting responsibilities for iCapital’s Investment Products business, month end close duties, accounts receivable and payable tasks, treasury management, financial reporting consolidations and eliminations as well as ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities- Oversee Private Wealth Solutions sales expense functions relating to various Investment Product business activities:
- Ensure accuracy of structured investment and alternative investment commission calculations and payables.
- High exposure to internal Relationship Managers and external key contacts.
- Liaise with team members for commission tracking, processing, booking, and reporting.
- Assist with implementation of commission software.
- Month End Close:
- Assist with the month-end closing processes related to the Investment Products business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare revenue calculations and KPIs for structured investments and alternative investments.
- Calculate and consolidate P&L and Balance Sheet data to prepare and book journal entries for various entities.
- Assist with the maintenance of invoices and accounting files.
- Cash Reconciliation:
- Reconcile cash inflows and outflows between the company’s bank accounts and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly cash reconciliations.
- Other:
- Identify and remediate process gaps and implement effective internal controls; improve documentation of internal control processes.
- Develop analyses to support strategic initiatives and decision making by management.
- Provide insight into variances between budget vs actuals, as well as real-time forecasting and trend analysis.
- Assist in completing special projects as needed such as implementation of new commission software.
- Assist with the month-end closing processes related to the Investment Products business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- 3+ years of corporate accounting/public accounting experience within the financial services industry
- Degree in Accounting required
- Familiarity with Alternative Investments or Structured Investments preferred
- CPA license preferred but not required
- Understanding of GAAP reporting
- Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite and/or General Ledger systems (i.e., PeopleSoft, Axiom) preferred but not required
- Experience with treasury management, accounts receivable and payable, and cash reconciliations
- Knowledge of booking journal entries and the resulting impact to the financial statements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Able to manage large sets of data and be able to implement checks and balances
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detailed oriented with big picture capability
- Able to interpret legal documents
- Demonstrate ability to take on new, challenging assignments on a spontaneous basis
- Able to coordinate across multiple departments to complete assignments that require collaboration, including providing financial data
The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $140,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
