Your Role and Responsibilities
The Corporate Social Responsibility Manager is responsible for establishing and managing a portfolio of strategic partners to drive growth and achieve IBM’s social impact goals. Their primary goal is to build strong partnerships by identifying shared objectives and aligning strategies negotiating partnership agreements and ensuring both parties are committed to delivering on their respective responsibilities. They must also track and report on the progress of partner programs to key stakeholders within the organization.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end program execution of education and skilling employee giving and volunteerism and sustainability. This includes developing program timelines identifying and addressing risks managing budgets and ensuring program deliverables are met on time and within budget. Additionally they are results-oriented and focused on achieving measurable outcomes. This includes setting and achieving targets and monitoring partner performance against key metrics.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Manager is creative and innovative in their approach to identifying new business relationships that help deepen IBM’s social impact. They are familiar with the latest trends and best practices in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) education and workforce development as well as the needs and challenges faced by students educators and employers in this field. Finally they work with the communications team to ensure effective communication of IBM’s key messages and strategies relating to Corporate Social Responsibility to internal and external audiences and coordinate with other IBM functions including HR Government Programs Communications and Marketing.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Skill: Measure & Evaluate for Social Impact (156324)

  • Description: Effectively assess quantify and communicate the social environmental and economic effects of the various Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Develop and implement robust impact measurement and evaluation frameworks that are tailored to these specific program outcomes. The competency necessitates the effective and responsible gathering of quantitative and qualitative data using various methodologies followed by careful analysis to derive meaningful insights. Contextualize the results from this analysis within the broader social environmental and economic landscapes to determine if the programs are making the intended impact and effecting the desired change. Leverage the insights to inform strategic decision-making drive the continuous improvement of programs and ensure alignment with the organization’s CSR objectives. Communicate the impact and value of the Corporate Social Responsibility programs to various stakeholders by presenting complex data in a clear compelling and accessible manner. Deep understanding of the social issues targeted by the programs ensures that evaluations are relevant and accurately reflect the programs’ impact.
