Data Engineer - Associate - Corporate Treasury Engineering

Your Impact:

Our Corporate Treasury Engineering team is a world leader in developing quantitative techniques and technological solutions that solve complex and commercial business problems. We partner with our firm's treasurer and other members of Corporate Treasury senior leadership to manage the firm's liquidity risk, secured and unsecured funding programs, and the level and composition of consolidated and subsidiary equity capital and to invest any excess liquidity. In this role, you will be provided unique insight into the firm's business activities and asset strategy. You will be responsible for defining, developing software's to analyze data, built metric calculators, automated tools to help business get insights into data, predict scenarios and perform better decision making to reduce interest expenses for the firm. This front to back model gives software developer's window into all aspects of CT planning and execution while working on cutting edge industrial technologies.

In this role, you will be understanding the data consumed in the calculators and identify gaps, uplift, and consolidation opportunities. You will Work with multiple data providers to identify authorized sources of data and create logical data models to provide equivalent view of data. You will collaborate extensively with Engineering and Product teams to support functional use-cases and take data driven decisions to build and enhance the platform. The ideal candidate has experience building robust data pipelines and reporting tools. Also, someone with a strong application development background with keen interest in data engineering would be considered.

Basic Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
• Experience in data processing & software engineering and can build high-quality, scalable data oriented products
• Experience on distributed data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, EMR, etc..) for building efficient, large-scale data pipelines
• Strong Software Engineering experience with in-depth understanding of Python, Scala, Java or equivalent
• Experience with building workflows (ETL pipelines)
• Experience with SQL and optimizing queries
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - demonstrated ability to learn technologies and apply.
• Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building stream-processing applications (Spark streaming, Apache-Flink, Kafka, etc..)
• Programming experience in at least one compiled language - Java, Python
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS
• Familiarity with financial markets, financial assets, and liquidity management is plus About Goldman Sachs
