What you will do:

  • Prepare comprehensive fixed asset engagements including cost segregation, repairs and maintenance and depreciation studies
  • Research and draft technical memoranda related to fixed asset matters, including Section 179D
  • Develop industry expertise to help the Fixed Asset Team deliver more proactive and targeted fixed asset strategies to clients and prospects, including direct interaction with clients
  • Utilize analytical understanding of construction, fixed assets, engineering, & valuation fundamentals to drive client value
  • Provide audit defense assistance for clients being audited by the IRS or state taxing authorities
  • Develop data models to help automate the cost segregation calculation and documentation processes, including detailed application of three dimensional analysis

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting or related field required.
  • Masters Degree, JD, ASA, or other applicable advanced certification a plus
  • 1+ years of work experience with cost segregation, construction management, or commercial appraisal experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically advanced knowledge of Excel and Access
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a timely manner
  • Passion for finding creative and efficient solutions to analytical problems
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel to client locations and various Baker Tilly office locations

Additional Information

For California, Colorado, New York and Washington: The compensation range for this role is $55,770 to $96,330. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
