Job Description

Job Overview EJG Custom Carpenter is a millwork shop with a main focus on commercial cabinets and solid surface. We are looking to expand and are seeking hard working cabinet makers to join our team, but right now the team needs solid surface fabricators! IF THIS IS YOU GIVE US A CALL!!!! This full time position requires a honest and dependable individual who can multitask and work independently. Solid Surface requires attention to detail as well as patience and ability to follow directions and work with special equipment. Due to the fact that this is a fabrication shop we do need flexibility so please be open to learning new skills as well. Other skills needed around the shop include reading a measuring tape, laminating, filing, building, cutting, ect A plus! As you know QUALITY is the key! You will be taught to operate shop equipment that pertains to our fabrication as needed. Qualifications: • Must be able to lift 50lbs -75lbs • Honest and proactive individual • Able to work well with others and work through conflict. • Must have good English communication skills. • Must know how to read a measuring tape. • Experience working with power tools, table saw, miter saw, etc • Experience working with laminate • Experience and knowledge in building and assembling cabinet. • Solid surface experience is a plus *. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in craftsmanship. Responsibilities in the shop • Full time at 40 hours • Duties include, but not limited to operating sliding table saw, edge bander, boring machine, datto machine, chop saw, etc. • Banding, laminating, routing cabinet parts. • Shop clean up and organization. • Inventory. • Being accountable for work deadlines. • Able to handle heavy lifting. • Work long hours to complete projects as needed. • Willing to learn how to read and understand cut list and shop drawings to cut and assemble cabinets. Duties • Construct, assemble, and install cabinets and furniture according to specifications. • Restore and refinish existing cabinetry, ensuring a high standard of quality. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. • Prep, band, laminate project to completion. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $16.00 per hour Benefits: • Flexible schedule Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday • Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
