Team Introduction
The TikTok Tax team is building to work with other corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax controversy. We ensure compliance with direct (corporate income tax) and indirect tax and solve tax-related issues.

TikTok is seeking an enthusiastic Tax Business Partner to join the tax team to support its rapid business growth. This is a regional role which comprises both tax compliance and advisory aspects.

Responsibilities
1. Responsible for data preparation and collation for tax filings, tax audits and litigation;
2. Ensure timely and accurate filing of direct and indirect tax returns with support from external tax consultants where relevant;
3. Support HQ tax reporting requirements and provide guidance for tax accounting;
4. Support tax incentive application and related ongoing compliance obligations where relevant;
5. Act as a partner to the business, providing specialist tax input from technical and operational perspectives;
6. Collaborate with global tax team and external tax consultants to provide tax assessment on proposed business models;
7. Assist in optimizing end-to-end tax compliance procedures to mitigate risks and improve efficiency with coordination with other stakeholders;
8. Monitor tax legislation changes and assess the implications to the Group and ultimately suggest steps to manage those changes if applicable;
9. Provide tax support on various projects as well as ad-hoc tax matters.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor degree or above with at least 5 years of tax related experience in large Multinational Corporations and/or accounting firms;
3. Strong problem-solving and time management skills;
4. A good team player;
5. Effective oral and written communication skills, able to clearly communicate tax technical issues to non-tax professionals;
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in the Internet/ TMT industry is preferred;
2. Experience in a regional tax role a plus;
3. Experience in using ERP systems to gather/analyse data a plus.
