About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, you as the Creative Director will partner with and lead our Gaming and Design team to establish our vision in both Gaming and comics. You’ll collaborate with production teams that are comprised of both internal employees and external contractors and vendors, to mobilize and execute creative plans. You will lead and mentor your direct reports to inspire and motivate them against company and personal development goals. You will keep up to date with industry trends and technologies, and have a strong passion for gaming and creative storytelling. Note this role is on-site in our West Hollywood, CA office, 4 days per week with 1 day flexible to work from your home office.

Your Responsibilities

• Build and develop a high-performing, high-engagement Creative organization to achieve excellence across all functions
• Manage the entire creative process from concept to completion working closely with the internal team and managing external development teams
• Translate company objectives into finished creative products and marketing assets that perform well in the marketplace
• Responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of the visual and audio elements of Impact Theory’s creative products and marketing assets
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Engineering, Narrative, and Design teams to create end-to-end experiences and campaigns for players and readers
• Ensure designs and content reflect the brand image and company ideals
• Create and implement branding guidelines that capture the brand voice, including tone and visual style, across multiple platforms
• Manage the career growth of your direct reports
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills

• 5+ years experience as a Creative Lead or progressive senior leadership roles
• 10+ years of progressive Creative leadership experience 
• Strong 3D Environmental Design experience 
• Strong 3D Character Design experience
• Strong storytelling experience
• Experience developing 3D games in Unreal Engine
• Adept at creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Passion for learning about AI and finding ways to integrate into our creative workflow
• A storyteller with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A strong portfolio of environments, characters, and game narratives
• Interest in the blockchain ecosystem and a willingness to learn
• Ability to present information concisely and accurately in an engaging manner
• Highly organized and able to rank-order competing priorities without supervisor input
• Must be flexible, motivated, and highly collaborative, this role will need a self-starter who can roll up their sleeves and get things done
• Must be a “fire starter”, always looking for ways to improve on the vision and projects.
• Interest in blockchain technology is a plus
• Tech art experience a plus
   

Compensation & Benefit Information

• We are offering a range of $180k to $210k for this position.
