Job Description
St. Luke's is proud of the skills, experience and compassion of its employees. The employees of St. Luke's are our most valuable asset! Individually and together, our employees are dedicated to satisfying the mission of our organization which is an unwavering commitment to excellence as we care for the sick and injured; educate physicians, nurses and other health care providers; and improve access to care in the communities we serve, regardless of a patient's ability to pay for health care.
The Critical Care & Emergency Medicine Advanced Practitioner Fellowship Programs are a 12-month, post-graduate training program designed for physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) seeking to advance their expertise in high-acuity patient care. Advanced Practitioner Fellows participate in immersive, hands-on clinical rotations across intensive care units, emergency departments, and specialty services, gaining proficiency in advanced diagnostics, procedural skills, and evidence-based management of critically ill and emergent patients.
This program blends structured didactic education with supervised clinical practice, fostering confidence, autonomy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Advanced Practitioner Fellows work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in fast-paced, high acuity environments.
Graduates emerge prepared for practice in critical care and emergency medicine settings, equipped with advanced clinical judgment, procedural competence, and the ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining compassionate, high-quality care.
