We are currently seeking afull-time Culinary Directorto lead our culinary program and drive continued growth with a focus on exceptional food and cost-effective execution. Position Overview The Culinary Director will oversee the vision, execution, and operational performance of all culinary operations. This leadership role requires not only creative culinary expertise but also strong financial acumen—especially incost analysis, budgeting, and inventory management. The ideal candidate is a seasoned chef with a track record in high-volume catering or hospitality, who can develop menus that are trend-forward, scalable, and profitable. Key Responsibilities • Lead culinary innovation across all menus, ensuring alignment with modern culinary trends and our brand identity. • Develop and refine recipes using seasonal, high-quality ingredients and upscale techniques suitable for large-scale events. • Perform ongoingcost analysisto ensure menu items are profitable, well-costed, and aligned with revenue goals. • Oversee food purchasing, inventory systems, and vendor relationships to control food and labor costs. • Standardize recipes and documentation to ensure consistent execution across the culinary team. • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, events, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction. • Mentor and lead a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to maintain high standards and encourage professional growth. • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and ensure kitchen operations run efficiently and safely. • Conduct regular tastings, training sessions, and performance reviews with the culinary team. • Stay current on culinary innovations, emerging ingredients, and industry best practices. Qualifications • 7+ years of culinary leadership experience in catering, hospitality, or fine dining settings. • Demonstrated ability to design cost-effective, scalable, and innovative menus. • Strong background infood costing, budgeting, and operational efficiency. • Advanced understanding of global flavor profiles, culinary trends, and upscale presentation. • Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performing culinary teams. • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience. • Ability to speak Spanish is highly recommended!
