Job Overview Seeking an experiencedCulinary Directorto lead dining services at a senior assisted living community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care, strong leadership skills, and a background in nutrition and foodservice management. Responsibilities include menu planning, team leadership, and ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals for residents. Responsibilities • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards. • Manage inventory control, including ordering and receiving supplies, to maintain optimal stock levels. • Proven leadership in foodservice management • Knowledge of dietary needs for seniors • Strong communication and organizational skills • Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, presentation, and service excellence. • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health regulations and safety protocols. • Maintains a positive, pleasant manner at all times realizing that work environment can be stressful and demanding. Qualifications • Proven experience in a culinary role within a fast-paced environment, preferably in food service management or hospitality. • High School Diploma or equivalent industry experience. • Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices, including inventory control and food management systems. • Experience in team management, demonstrating the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively. • Familiarity with various cooking techniques and cuisines, along with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment. • Must be knowledgeable of and skilled in operation of all kitchen equipment. • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision by following all community policies and procedures. • Must maintain a current driver’s license. • Must possess a genuine compassion for the elderly and disabled.
