Job Description
TheCulinary Supervisoris responsible for collaborating with the Culinary team to provide employment development, placement, and support services to all program participants either on job sites or within the Culinary program in response to DDD and One Step Beyond Inc. specifications. The Culinary Arts Supervisor II responsibilities include addressing the needs, interests, aptitudes, and ISP Goals and Objectives of all members participating in Culinary Programs, which includes curriculum development and delivery, development of community partners to provide job training and employment sites for members participating in Culinary Programs, and all other means to advance program goals achievement, responsiveness to members, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
• Associate’s Degree or 2 years of experience in Non Profit Management or equivalent management experience preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disability or a similar population requiring attention and compassionate care
• Strong organizational, inventory, curriculum and course preparation and delivery skills
• Demonstration of knowledge of program development, specifically vocational program development.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain implementation of culinary curriculum consistent with the needs, interests, and ISP goals and objectives of program members, and oversee Vocational Daily Activity Schedules and implement daily changes to manage daily ratios..
· Establish and maintain relationships with community partners to provide employment opportunities for job exploration and training sites consistent with the needs, interests, and ISP goals and objectives of program members.
· Oversee preparation of GSE/ISE/ESA Payroll documents and collaboration with Culinary Arts Director to oversee the development and maintenance of member employee personnel files and attendance data.
· Ensure program compliance with state regulations and complete timely reports (Ratios, Medication Distribution, Attendance logs, IRs, QA requirements, etc.)
· Demonstrate knowledge of One Step Beyond accounting procedures and maintain accurate and timely files, records, reports, and accounts (payroll, credit card and cash expenditures, receipts, and allocations, petty cash) consistent with organizational policy and expectations.
· Collaborate with Culinary Arts Director to manage program income and control expenses to not only stay within monthly budget but also increase annual program profit to plan for future needs and expansion.
· Serve as backup to all Job coaches and staff should the need arise for community job coaching, staffing ratios and transportation.
· Have knowledge of and completes necessary paperwork regarding time studies, wage surveys, hourly production standards, etc. and maintains accuracy of timeframes for each as required by the Department of Labor- Sub Minimum Wage Contract.
· Project a professional, knowledgeable, and capable image consistent with the One Step Beyond mission in public interactions.
· Consider the welfare, growth and development of program members as a top priority in all organizational and program decision making, planning, and development.
· Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with members and parents/guardians to address concerns, maintain positive relationships, and serve as an advocate for members and a resource for parents/guardians.
· Maintain and enhance positive relationships/partnerships with community service and employer partners.
· Collaboration with Life Skills Program Team and Culinary Program Team to develop and implement individual member schedules that are responsive to their vocational needs, aptitudes and interests.
· Serve as a model, mentor, and ongoing evaluator to lead the Culinary Program Team through hands-on observation and involvement to ensure that the Team has clearly defined roles and are aware of the requirements of their job, as well as demonstrating familiarity with One Step Beyond, Inc. Employee Manual and personnel policies.
· Handle difficult situations with a positive attitude by actively seeking problem resolution, creative solutions, and program and organizational enhancements to ensure individual and team performance as well as program effectiveness.
· Motivate Culinary Team to achieve effective collaborative interaction and mutual respect and support within the Culinary Programs and OSBI organization as a whole.
· Lead and mentor staff to encourage professional growth and skills development.
· Model and demonstrate appropriate behavior management techniques (Article 9 training) with program members and mentor staff to do the same.
· Seek outside resources to grow personal knowledge and awareness of growing trends and best practices to continuously improve Culinary Programs.
· Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements and adjustments to program strategies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.35 - $16.95 per hour
