Custodian – Laboratory Facilities

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientedFacilities Assistantto help maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our laboratory and office spaces. This position plays a key role in supporting laboratory operations and ensuring our facility is organized, presentable, and fully operational. Key Responsibilities: • Clean and sanitize laboratory benches, lab ware, and floors • Organize and restock lab consumables and supplies • Break down and dispose of cardboard boxes and packaging materials • Clean and maintain common areas including bathrooms and breakroom • Perform light handyman duties such as: • Replacing light bulbs • Adjusting door hardware • Replacing motor belts or other basic mechanical tasks • Assist the front office team with general facility needs Qualifications: • Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred • Experience with basic handyman or maintenance tasks • Comfortable working in a laboratory environment • Ability to follow cleaning and safety protocols • Strong attention to detail and time management skills • Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented Job Type: Part-time Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Paid time off Experience: • Custodial: 1 year (Required) • Handyman: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
