Custodian

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas. • Ensure all restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained. • Carry out floor care duties such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed. • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. • Assist with industrial cleaning tasks and facilities maintenance as required. • Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company guidelines. • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management. • Provide porter services by assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment when necessary. Experience • Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is advantageous. • Experience in floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is a plus. • Knowledge of residential painting or industrial cleaning methods is beneficial. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
