As generative AI became a board-level initiative almost overnight for most enterprises, our market matured dramatically and we benefit from that tailwind. Our inbound funnel is large and growing fast (+3M visitors/month, thousands of weekly ICP trial starts). In late 2021, we received a $21M Series A led by Insight Partners, with participation from Google's Gradient Ventures, GTMFund, and a world-class group of founders, operators, and angels. We're a clear leader in a space receiving significant investor interest, and will be able to make the investments required to maintain that position.

📐 About this role 

Writer is looking for one of our first Customer Engineers to empower and enable our customers to utilize our fullstack generative AI solutions to its fullest capabilities.

At Writer, we believe in using the power of generative AI to unlock the potential of the enterprise. As a Customer Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of our fullstack generative AI solutions for our clients. You will work closely with customers, providing technical expertise, troubleshooting assistance, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a deep understanding of generative AI technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

You will report to our CTO in the interim. 

🦸🏻‍♀️ Your responsibilities 

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop tailored POCs using Writer

• Partner with solutions architects to lead technical discussions and presentations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our fullstack generative AI solutions

• Manage the end-to-end process of POCs, including scoping, planning, execution, and evaluation, ensuring successful outcomes and customer satisfaction

• Assist customers with the installation, configuration, and integration of Writer into their existing systems

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers, resolving any issues or concerns in a timely manner during the POC phase

• Develop and implement custom rules within Writer to meet specific customer requirements

• Collaborate with the product development team to provide feedback and insights from customer interactions, contributing to the continuous improvement of Writer

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in generative AI technologies and industry trends, sharing knowledge and insights with the team and customers

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to drive customer success and achieve business objectives

⭐️ Is this you? 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR relevant years experience within the industry

• Proven experience as a Customer Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar role

• Strong understanding of generative AI technologies, including deep learning, neural networks, and machine learning algorithms.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, Node.js

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience managing and executing POCs, including scoping, planning, and evaluation.

• Strong customer focus and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
