Job Description

Eaton's Power Distribution and Control Assemblies (PDCA) Division is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position is based at our Arden, NC facility. Relocation assistance will be provided. This is an entry-level-intermediate level position.

Position Overview:

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for supporting Eaton's PMO (Project Management Office) and Sales team by recommending, planning, implementing, and coordinating a wide variety of order management activities such as: customer relations, order entry, production loading and scheduling, order flow and product warranty.

In this function you will:
  • Establish and maintain communication with internal customers and keep abreast of customer needs and procedures. Communicate needs to other departments.
  • Plan, develop and schedule the manufacturing workload by coordinating customer needs, plant backlog, material and engineering requirements, manufacturing capabilities plus continuous cycle time improvements.
  • Monitor, control and communicate the status of customer orders and shipping projections to promote plant credibility and maintain on-time performance.
  • Administer order entry, order flow, scheduling, shipping and invoicing while maintaining the proper processing of change notices.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules to meet monthly billing objectives. Provides commercial / technical guidance to other functions such as marketing, engineering and materials in desirable formats to support total quality effort of the plant.
  • Direct and coordinate meetings with others to coordinate efforts, resolve difficulties and gather data to assure a high level of performance.
  • Resolve product warranty issues to ensure customer satisfaction and the plant's commitment to total quality.
  • Coordinate and conduct customer inspections, on-board approvals and customer visits.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing or customer service
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or technical field from an accredited institution
  • 3+ year manufacturing or customer service experience

Position Criteria:
  • Excellent computer skills MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
