Job Description

What is a Customer Service Representative or Patient Advocate for IME Guards? A patient advocate for IME Guards will accompany a claimant (injury victim) during a medical appointment given by a doctor hired by a defense lawyer in a lawsuit. The appointments take place mostly in the Bronx, Westchester, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. What qualities does a Patient Advocate possess? β€’ Patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative; β€’ Detail-oriented; β€’ Punctual and professional; β€’ Assertive but not contentious; Responsibilities β€’ Meet the claimant at doctor’s office; β€’ Make a detailed hand-written record of the IME; β€’ Create a computerized report of the IME; and β€’ Submit the report in a timely manner. Requirements β€’ Strong communication and listening skills; β€’ Proficient with Microsoft Word; β€’ Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities; β€’ High school diploma or higher; β€’ Owns a car, not required but a big plus; and β€’ Fluent Spanish is not required but a huge plus; Job Type: Part-time Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour Schedule: β€’ Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
