McKillican is one of North America's leading distributors of specialty building materials. We are looking for a quality individual to add to our Houston Inside sales and customer service team. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to provide excellent customer service, develop relationships with customers on the phone, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Provide strong technical knowledge of all products to customers. • Offer product alternatives, suggestions, and problem-solving ideas to customers. • Maintain strong computer and communication skills. • Provide consistent feedback on competitive market sell pricing, and asset management (inventory and receivables) to branch leaders and/or corporate management. • Improve individual skills by actively and continuously learning new products, new processes, new methods, and new procedures. • Develop solid relationships with customers, vendors, and associates, and use those relationships to achieve goals and targets, and enhance the working environment. • Actively sell and promote inactive inventory closeout items, and maximize sales volumes. • Actively support and promote all company/branch marketing initiatives.
