Customer Service Representative

Job Description We are a manufacturing company looking for a Customer Service Representative whose main responsibility is to process customer purchase orders by creating internal sales orders and work orders using SAGE 100. In doing so, they will work closely with our Purchasing, Production, Sales, Quality and Shipping Departments to ensure on-time shipping while communicating order status to our customers. They are required to have stellar communication skills, be problem-solvers and be good listeners. They will need to handle our customers with patience and empathy. They will need to be an outgoing team player, showing respect at all times to their co-workers. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond quickly and accurately to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities • Process customer purchase orders in SAGE 100. • Process internal work orders in SAGE 100. • Establish delivery dates with customers. • Help sales team with the start-up of new parts and projects. • Be the liaison between our customers and our production department. • Manage incoming calls. • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication. • Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions in a timely manner; follow up to ensure resolution. • Keep records of customer interactions, maintain customer accounts in SAGE 100. • File documents. • Collaborate with management teams to stay updated on new products, services and policies. • Other duties as required. Required Skills • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a MANUFACTURING facility • SAGE 100 • Microsoft Office • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Strong phone skills and active listening • Ability to respond to and interact with different personalities and situations • Excellent presentation skills • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively • High school degree Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Health insurance • Paid time off Shift: • 8 hour shift Ability to Commute: • Cicero, IL 60804 (Required) Work Location: In person
