Customer Service/Retail Associate

Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Your ability to engage with customers, understand their needs, and promote our products will be key to your success in this position. Duties • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. • Provide knowledgeable product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. • Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system and cash register. • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively. • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience. • Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. • Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management. • Uphold company policies regarding phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone. Skills • Proven experience in retail sales with a strong focus on customer service. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. • Familiarity with product demonstrations and the ability to convey product benefits clearly. • Strong phone etiquette skills for handling customer inquiries professionally. • Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is a plus. • Ability to sell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor. • Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems efficiently. • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts. • Previous experience in a grocery store setting is advantageous but not required.
