We are looking for an Customer Support Technician (Entry Level) to support our client, a Government agency, based in Tallahassee, Florida.
US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY.
This is an on-site position. Candidates must be located in or near our client's locations in DeLand, FL.

The opportunity
TECKpert seeks to hire a Customer Support Analyst to support our client, a state government agency for an onsite position in Deland, FL. This role will support the workstation team with monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Department's Audio Visual environments. This includes installation, maintenance, and staff training.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Workstation Support Supervisor with computer systems and software troubleshooting.
- Provide technical assistance and routine maintenance for specialized software applications.
- Support IT hardware, including networked printers and USB peripherals.
- Offer Tier 2 support for complex issues, taking ownership and performing advanced troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, and support user systems.
- Monitor the Service Desk queue and resolve support tickets.
- Participate in projects, share information, and provide feedback to OIT staff.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Coordinate service calls and repairs for warranty and non-warranty items.
- Maintain call records.
- Provide advanced support for AV systems.
Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a full-time, 8-month contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $41,600 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.
Qualifications you need
A successful Customer Support Analyst possesses or provides the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A mininmum of two (2) years in a technical, customer support role.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products, including operating systems and the Office suite (Outlook) in a networked environment.
- Proficiency in computer software, hardware, and firmware for personal computers and LAN/WAN environments.
- Expertise in installing and providing technical support for software applications, operating systems, and personal computer hardware.
- Skilled in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of audio-visual equipment, including projection systems, LCD TV systems, wireless presentation devices, and video conferencing equipment.
- Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting on various manufacturers of computers, peripherals, and audio-visual equipment.
- Effective project planning, organization, management, and tracking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and comply with departmental policies.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, work with minimal supervision, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with iPhone and Android smartphones.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and provide customer service.
- Keen attention to detail and strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure.
