Dailies Operator Picture Shop Picture Shop's On Location Services is part of Streamland Media, a rapidly expanding global post production team. As the name alludes, our department provides dailies color correction services and editorial rentals on set, near set, in a nearby facility (Burbank, Atlanta, Vancouver, Toronto, London, NYC), as well as remote cloud services. We are a team of colorists, operators, producers, and engineers with cumulative knowledge of hardware, software, color management, color correction, editing, camera and networking that work together to make complex workflows possible and to adapt constantly with the ever-changing landscape of camera formats and client requests. Responsibilities: • We are looking to add a dailies operator to our team that will focus on all nightly tasks related to the dailies process. • This is an overnight position where you will be the responsible for all dailies processing steps, including color, sound synching, and metadata entry. • You will create and QC all client deliverables as well as all reporting for clients and internal teams as requested. • You will be responsible for communications with DIT, Director of Photography, and any internal teams. • The ideal candidate has extreme attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Flexibility is a must as you will roll with production on start times Requirements: • Knowledge of picture industry technology, standards, codecs, and practices • Familiarity with prominent cameras and formats from ARRI, Sony, Red, Blackmagic etc. • Passion for post production • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced work environment • Willingness to have flexible schedule • Eagerness to learn • Highly organized • Self starter/self-motivated • Strong communication skills to explain technical things to non-technical people • Maintain positive and confident outlook Beneficial Skills: • Experience working in post production and/or dailies • Experience with Colorfront Express Dailies, Colorfront On Set Dailies • Experience with Resolve, Avid, or other post-production software • Familiarity of OSX, Windows, Linux operating systems • Experience with LTO tapes and archiving The listed pay range is the salary or hourly wage range that we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting.
