Data Analyst

Girling Home Care of NY is looking for an experienced, professional, and detail-oriented Data Analyst to generate reports, charts, and dashboards to allow management to track business information. The Data Analyst will design, build and manage internal applications to automate specific business processes, produce and validate reports using reporting writing software primarily focused on relational databases having an understanding of how different data elements interact from various data sources including data warehouse, Excel, text files and other proprietary tables and databases. They will work with report end users to determine data requirements, to design output format and validate results for both ad hoc and scheduled reports for internal use. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES • Create new reports, visualizations, and workflows based on business logic as provided by manager through conversations with business lines. • Develop well-structured and detailed reports focused on providing actionable insights to decision-makers. • Maintain/update current reports and workflows based on evolving needs. • Automate current processes based on business logic as provided by manager through conversations with business lines. • Continuously elevate the quality of our reporting by staying up to date on industry trends and best practices • Document report or process requirements. • Perform data interpretation and analysis to support the formation of business recommendations.Position Requirements: • Associates degree in applicable field of study (preferred). • Two years of relevant experience (preferred). • SQL experience developing queries, tables, functions, and stored procedures. • Database report writing abilities with 3rd party software. • Computer, software and network troubleshooting skills. • Strong computer and word processing skills, in particular experience with database systems and computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite/ Excel. • Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities with minimal supervision. • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail. • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through both verbal and written skills. • Demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.Position Benefits: • Health, Dental, Vision • 401k + Company match • Paid Holidays. • PTO Package • Paid Orientation • Employee Referral ProgramThe agency provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
