Data Analyst II

About the Role The IDEA team is looking for a dedicated IDEA Data Analyst to provide analytics and data mining expertise, directly supporting the Intelligence & Insights (I&I) team's strategy. You'll work with data, insights and reporting helping the I&I team to create a driven informed- data approach on the employee lifecycle at Uber. You'll also collaborate with the IDEA Data Manager to shape the IDEA team's data strategy. What You'll Do • Use tools and programming languages like SQL, Tableau, Excel/Sheets, and many other internal tools (such as Oracle) to work efficiently at scale • Apply technical expertise to leverage data • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods; • Capture and maintain reliable documentation to support ongoing projects deliverables and alignment with stakeholdersBasic Qualifications • 4+ years of experience in Data analytics, HR related analytics, or within a similar field • Experience working with data visualization tools (Tableau and or similar tool) • Bachelors Degree ObtainedPreferred Qualifications • High technical proficiency in common analytics & reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio, Google Sheets/Excel). • Experience in Python • Experience manipulating/processing large data sets in order to provide insights to teams • Experience communicating the results of analysis. • Experience working with data related to IDEA programs • Experience working with customer support or customer insights. • Advanced data analysis skills leading to actionable recommendations. • Experience in leading high-visibility projects and influencing others in a cross-functional team environment • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences • Strong sense of ownership and accountability • Curious, self-directed, and impact-driven-you chase high-impact problems to deliver solutions. • Comfortable with ambiguity and switching contexts in a fast-moving environment • Experience in communicating with and presenting to senior leader. • Strong storytelling ability: Distilling exciting and hard-to-find insights into a compelling, concise data story • Comfort in working with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment • Experience in data extraction, wrangling, and building pipelines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to drive projects independently. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and process standardizationAbout the Team Uber's Global IDEA team's vision is to be the industry leader where inclusion drives innovation, and our platform empowers people to move ahead in life.We harness data and storytelling to unlock business and mindset growth that inspires action by all, for all. For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$122,000 per year - USD$135,500 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$135,000 per year - USD$150,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
