Data Analytics Associate - Part-time

Summary Dr. Alexis Wood’s research group at the Children's Nutrition Research Center is looking to hire a part-time Data Analytics Associate to join their team. The Data Analytics Associate (DAA) will operate as an applied biostatistician, conducting data analyses under Dr. Wood's guidance to identify the causes of chronic diseases throughout the lifespan. The DAA will perform data analysis utilizing appropriate statistical methods common to biomedical research and collaborate with Dr. Wood to interpret findings and disseminate results to the research community. Job Duties • Produces summary statistics for large scale epidemiological cohorts. • Conducts data analysis in R. • Creates visualizations (graphs / figures) in R. • Provides support in analyses of high-dimensional data e.g., genomic data, metabolomic data. • Provides support in duties under the guidance of the lab PI and lab Statistician, by adapting existing scripts for analysis / visualization. • Implements data management tasks and study documentation procedures. • Documents workflows in a reproducible manner. • Assists with interpretation of results including significant factors, relationships, and trends. • Writes technical summary reports on findings of statistical investigations. • Assists with dissemination of mathematical or statistical concepts to non-statistical audience. • Stays current with knowledge related to the analytical methods needed to analyze different types of data formats and structures, and with current with statistical programming approaches. • Fluent with data and data structures from various sources; able to conduct quality control, query, analyze, and report results to answer relevant research questions. • Conducts literature reviews pertinent to study design or statistical concepts. • Conducts work within a multi-site interdisciplinary project team, and communicates effectively with remote sites. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree. • Two years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications • Master's Degree.
