* While this is a remote position and we can hire across Europe candidates in Portugal Spain or Malta are preferred.

The Role:

Join Raketech as a Data Engineer to shape and enhance our data architecture and modeling driving efficiency and innovation across our iGaming business. You will develop advanced ETL processes optimize data systems and ensure high data accuracy and integrity. This role reporting directly to the Head of Data is central to transforming complex data into strategic insights and robust data solutions that propel business decisions. Embrace the challenge where your expertise in data architecture and modeling makes a significant impact.

As a 'Data Engineer' you are expected to:

• Architect and optimize data systems and infrastructure to support efficient data processing and scalable storage solutions using cloud-based platforms such as Google Cloud or AWS.

• Design develop and maintain advanced ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration from multiple sources aligning with business needs.

• Develop and implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.

• Develop and refine data models to enhance the accessibility and usability of data for analytical purposes supporting business decision-making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements

• Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to operations.

Success in this role means:

• Building and managing highly reliable data architectures that seamlessly integrate with existing systems and support evolving business needs.

• Driving improvements in data handling and processing ensuring scalable and efficient data operations that foster innovation and business growth.

• Proven 4+ years of experience as Data Engineer or similar role in the iGaming or relevant sector.

• Strong expertise in ETL processes and data cleanup procedures.

• Experience in data modeling and warehousing solutions with a solid understanding of data architecture principles.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms like AWS and Google Cloud.

• Advanced skills in SQL and Python; proficiency in BigQuery.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
