BI/AI Data Engineer (Azure) –Contract Term:(4–6 month engagement; extensions possible 75-85 HR About the role We’re seeking an experiencedAzure Data Engineering Consultantto design, implement, and optimize a modern data platform supporting enterpriseBusiness Intelligence and AIuse cases. You’ll build an Azure Data Lake + Synapse environment, stand up secure, high-performance pipelines, and transfer knowledge to internal teams. What you’ll do • Architect and implementAzure Data Lake Storage (Gen2)andAzure Synapse Analyticsenvironments. • Build scalablebatch/streaming ingestion pipelinesfrom on-prem and cloud sources (ADF, Databricks, Synapse Pipelines). • Developdata modelsandETL/ELTframeworks; tune performance across the Azure stack. • Establishsecurity, governance, data quality, lineage, and monitoringbest practices with full documentation. • Collaborate with BI, Data Science, and Cloud teams; integrate with downstream BI tools (e.g.,Power BI). • Provideknowledge transferto client teams to ensure a production-ready platform. Required qualifications • Proven delivery ofAzure Data Lakesolutions (ADLS Gen2) andSynapse(dedicated/serverless SQL, integration). • Hands-on expertise withAzure Data Factory,Databricks, and/orSynapse Pipelinesfor ingestion and transformation. • StrongSQLplus experience withbig data(structured & unstructured). • Solid grasp ofcloud security, networking, governance, and cost optimizationin Azure. • Excellentcommunication, documentation, and problem-solvingskills. • BSin Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
