The opportunity

We are seeking a Platform Lead Engineer to help build out our Data Platform devsecops initiatives. The role will involve working with Partners, Software Engineers, and IT professionals to deliver monitoring & improving the operational experience of the Data Platform and help automate our pipelines.

Your new role 

In this role, you will help to achieve ambitious goals in harnessing data and analytics to support more informed business decision making. Working on the latest technologies, collaborating directly with key architecture and value stream stakeholders, you will be the technical expert for the Data Platform, functioning as the highest level of technical escalation within the platform along with responsibilities to develop, coach and guide team members.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for: 

• Providing technical leadership in design, development and deployment of data platforms 
• Working with stakeholders to deliver monitoring and improving the operational experience of the data platform 
• Contributing to exciting pipeline automation initiatives 
• Updating existing systems and integrating improvements to work on the applications already in operation 
• Liaising closely with tech stakeholders, value stream leads and other key contacts 

About you 

To drive your success in this role, you’ll demonstrate: 

• Strong working knowledge of data analytics DevOps tools and Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure 
• Experience in automated deployments and continuous integration 
• Knowledge of a combination of the following tools: SQL, Data Bricks, Git Hub/Bit Bucket, Azure CICD, Azure DevOps 
• A progressive attitude to delivering software and infrastructure, appreciating the importance of automating all aspects of the stack in an Agile manner 
• Exposure to operating within environments of large-scale change and transformation
