Job Description:
Contract: Permanent contract.
Hours of work: Monday-Friday from 09.00 – 18.00 hrs CET.
Location: Remote in Romania - from home anywhere in Romania.
The Data Protection Specialist is responsible for:
- Collaborating with DPO in assuring compliance and guiding others in data protection matters.
- Managing and overseeing the vendor assessment process for EMEA vendors ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
- Conducting assessments and evaluations of vendors' data protection practices providing recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Preparing drafts of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs) following GDPR requirements.
- Advising and reviewing privacy-related documentation including Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and other agreements.
- Providing support in audits and assessments related to data protection matters.
- Collaborating with internal teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
- Maintaining accurate Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) documenting data processing activities.
The ideal candidate:
- Excellent knowledge of English language (C1 upwards);
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the regulatory & compliance or legal fields;
- Basic to high understanding of the data privacy requirements;
- Proficiency with Excel;
- Detail-oriented and analytical skills;
- Ability to work autonomously with a high level of organization;
- Proactive and adaptable.
Nice to have:
- CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe) or privacy-related certification;
- Another European language.
