Data Scientist Job ID 228342 Posted 14-Jul-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Digital & Technology/Information Technology Location(s) Dallas - Texas - United States of America, Richardson - Texas - United States of America About the role This role will assist and support the evaluation of compliance and arbiter data, to develop machine learning algorithms to interrogate data, and to develop and implement a scaling stack to develop products for the purpose of business analytics. What you’ll do • Work on assigned multidisciplinary team research or analytical projects using sophisticated computational algorithms. • Apply the tools of modern data science using unfolded source architecture to the analysis of CBRE’s proprietary data • Support data research efforts for product development for internal and external clients. • Develop custom algorithms for solving real-estate business problems across a wealth of structure and unstructured data across multiple data sources. • Support the Senior Data Scientist in the tracking and evaluation of data sources. • May provide informal assistance such as technical mentorship, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project. What you’ll need • Masters or Ph.D. degree from credible school in applied data science computer science, engineering, applied math or related degree. Demonstrated ability in statistical analysis, data engineering, and data visualization. Consideration given to equivalent. • Data Scientist Certification or equivalent combination of experience and/or education. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal customers. Ability to optimally present information. • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis. • Comprehend, analyze, and interpret sophisticated documents. Ability to tackle problems involving several options in situations. Requires sophisticated analytical and quantitative skills. • Proven knowledge of Python, together with SQL. • Demonstrated knowledge of standard machine learning algorithms, based on “An Introduction to Statistical Learning” by James et.al or similar textbook. Knowledge of strengths, weaknesses, and real-world performance of the ML algorithms. • Deep understanding of web scrapping and data preprocessing. Why CBRE?
