(https://www.cbinsights.com/research-unicorn-companies) The Role This role would be part of the data team at Sunbit that supports our core Merchant Operations. As part of the team, you will collaborate closely with business function owners, including business strategy leadership, marketing, operations, product, and other R&D teams, to create data-driven solutions that drive business success. Your goal will be to ensure that business strategy is guided by data, proactively analyze data, deliver actionable insights, and monitor portfolio KPIs etc. Requirements: What You'll Do: • Be a catalyst to help the Merchant and Loan business functions operate strategically using data • Own and manage BI reports becoming a focal point for business’ data and analytics needs • Support operational deployment and monitoring by building appropriate data pipelines and monitoring reports • Drive evaluation of competing priorities across business functions and appropriately disposition solutions that are right-sized and scalable • Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and hypothesis development using data • Support business function leaders in planning, strategy development and operational management through data • Measure and evaluate customer and associate engagement funnel performance and identify improvement levers • Develop A/B test designs to implement a robust test and learn strategy • Perform ad-hoc analysis ranging from open exploratory data analysis to specific root cause analysis • Liaison with data engineering and product to build sustainable and scalable data solutions to address business’ current and future needs What You Bring to the Table: • 4+ years of relevant analytical experience with a bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of relevant analytical experience with a master’s degree in quantitative fields like (Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering etc.) • 4+ years of working with and proficient in SQL and is excited about acquiring new technical skills • 2+ years working with and proficient in any of the major BI platforms like Tableau or Sigma • 1+ years of hands-on experience in using Python or R to solve analytical problems • Great verbal, written communication, and presentation skills • Passionate about solving real-world problems with data • Has a growth mindset and takes pro-active ownership • Lives the 80/20 principle and gets things done The Perks: • Join one of LA’s fastest growing startups (2023), A Most Loved Workplace, #576 on the 2023 Inc 5000 list, and Forbes Fintech 50 (2024), #161 on Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list • Mission driven + empowered + collaborative • Competitive pay and stock options • Unlimited PTO • Health Insurance options including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, EAP, FSA, & Maternity Leave • Newly added HSA and Pet Insurance • 401K Plan with Matching • Cell Phone Stipend • Casual Dress • Open door policy / Open office floor plan • Team based strategic planning + Team owned deliverables How We Pay: • We believe in paying fairly and equitably based on a number of factors including but not limited to previous experience, relevant work history, interview performance, geographical location, internal equity, and expected level of ownership. • We are targeting a base salary of $120,000-$140,000 per year for this role • This role will also be granted company equity via stock options Core Values for Success at Sunbit: • Serve others before self -Focus on analytics that drive collective progress and support company-wide goals • Own the impact -Take full responsibility for accuracy and implications of your data insights • Connect genuinely -Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders • Act fast -Demonstrate agility and responsiveness in a fast paced environment • Include always -Ensure inclusivity in your analytical approach by considering diverse perspectives and impacts • Innovate for good -Continually seek opportunities to improve and innovate in the realm of data analytics at Sunbit Sunbit is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
