Seeking a versatile data scientist with TS/SCI US Government security clearance and FSP to join a small agile team building big data pipelines AI/ML-based analytics capabilities and user interfaces for government customers. This project includes highly innovative work focused on leveraging AI/ML to discover patterns and develop insights across multiple data types and mission areas. The team is fast-paced collaborative and cohesive and depends on team members to communicate openly and to design solutions and deliver quality models on a regular aggressive clip. Innovative application of advanced data science techniques is highly valued as the team regularly confronts novel challenges and use cases. The data scientist will design develop integrate test and deploy models using a combination of custom open source and off-the-shelf (GOTS/COTS) software packages and a variety of data types (structured unstructured non-text).
- US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance and in-scope full-scope polygraph required on Day 1
- 3+ years of experience in data science analytics or machine learning.
- Proficiency in Python R or similar programming languages.
- Experience with tools such as Jupyter Pandas Scikit-learn TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
- Must be willing to work 5 days per week in SCIF in Annapolis Junction MD.
- 1+ year of experience conducting data science work on AWS classified cloud architecture.
- AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer.
- Experience supporting federal clients in defense intelligence or homeland security.
- Knowledge of classified data environments and secure data handling practices.
- Familiarity with NLP computer vision or geospatial analytics.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience installing and managing software on a high-performance compute environment.
- Strong understanding of data wrangling modeling and visualization techniques.
