Data Team Lead (Insurance Experience Required)

Coaction is looking for a Data Team lead role that will be a hands-on leader that will have a blend of technical expertise and people leadership. Leadership, project management and stakeholder engagement are as essential along with the technical abilities.

Responsibilities

•Working with key stakeholders to understand priority, requirements, and timelines.

• Assist in setting and carrying out data strategy.

• Balancing day to day workload with projects by doing project planning.

• Delegation of tasks and capacity planning.

• Nurturing talent within the teams and working with team to where they can grow and thrive.

• Technical aptitude of understanding data pipelines and how data will flow from the source systems to Tableau reporting.

• Work with various SMEs in understanding business process flows/ functional requirements specifications of existing system and understanding current challenges and constraints and future expectation.

• Excellent client interfacing and communication skills

• Very good understanding of Business Intelligence concepts technologies

• Mentoring other team members

• Monitor and analyze technology risk trends, recommend appropriate policies, procedures, and practices to strengthen internal operations.

Qualifications

• 3 + years Property and Casualty experience

• 5 + years Datawarehouse experience in Information Technology

• Experience leading technical direction

• Experience in leading a team (formal or informal)

•Experience with data visualization, data migration, data mining, and data modeling tools

• SQL and ETL experience

• Understanding and knowledge of ETL and data pipelines.

• Understanding of DevOps principles, tools, and the intersection with cloud architecture

• Strong interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among stakeholders.

• Positive attitude, highly self-directed and motivated to become a system expert.

• Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to apply creativity and judgment in identifying and analyzing complex problems and providing recommendations to leadership team.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
