THE ROLE

We are seeking a Database Analyst (DBA) who will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the company's database infrastructure. They will collaborate with the software development team to design and create an efficient database schema, ensure data integrity and security, optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure regular backups and recovery procedures. The Database Administrator should have expertise in database management systems, query optimization, data modelling, and be familiar with industry best practices for database administration.

Please note that candidates for this role need to be available to work from our Lexington (Columbia), SC location at least 3 days/week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitoring system performance and identifying problems that arise
• Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors
• Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access
• Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered
• Improving database code for efficiency
• Converting data from legacy/client database sources
• Managing database security by controlling access permissions and privileges

THE ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of database management experience
• Strong Microsoft SQL skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Azure SQL Server experience
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder eligible for security clearance
