As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance optimization of our critical database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for data management.

What you'll be doing?

Security and Compliance:

• Implement secure design principles in accordance with established information security policies and standards.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, prioritizing system health, performance monitoring, backups, and security.

Performance Optimization and Innovation:

• Monitor and apply the latest advancements in database technologies to enhance the efficiency and capabilities of our products.
• Utilize data modeling techniques to ensure that development and implementation efforts meet integration and performance expectations.

Troubleshooting and Support:

• Independently analyze, diagnose, and resolve database issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement to optimize performance.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks and support release deployment activities.

Collaboration and Mentorship:

• Share your domain and technical expertise by providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other team members.

What you'll we need to be successful?

Database Development and Maintenance:

• Utilize proven experience in database development to design, implement, and maintain efficient and reliable databases. Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or Developer.
• Administer PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and their RDS versions, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and MSSQL, including experience with their RDS versions.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques and query optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with MariaDB/MySQL

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
