Database Administrator (DBA)

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our UniQue Managed Services and Automation team.

As a DBA, your expertise will be crucial in optimizing and support our clients database environments. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, performance, and security while collaborating closely with your teammates to implement innovative database solutions.

• Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor and optimize database performance for tuning and performance enhancements.
• Develop backup and recovery strategies, conducting regular tests to ensure data integrity.
• Implement security measures to safeguard data from unauthorized access.
• Work on database migrations and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
• Assist in troubleshooting database issues and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with application developers to optimize database interactions and queries.
• Document database configurations, processes, and changes for knowledge sharing.

Your experience, skill set and qualifications are going to help you succeed in this position, moving forward. We would like you to have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Database Administrator (DBA).
• Deep knowledge of database technologies , mainly SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud database solutions (Azure) Administration, Monitoring and Connectivity .
• Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Solid understanding of data security principles and backup/recovery methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with stored procedures, triggers, and database schemas.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural team environment.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Possession of industry-verified DBA certificates will be appreciated.
