Tasks and Qualifications:

Your Responsibility:

• As a Database Expert MSSQL (m/f/d) (System Landscape Optimization), you will continuously oversee/check the efficiency and effectiveness of KION Group AG's database system landscapes regarding the parameters of stability, performance, and costs.
• You analyze existing implementations regarding possible optimizations, develop corresponding target concepts together with the application managers/developers and support their implementation.
• You examine the infrastructure regarding savings potential (basic infrastructure, software licenses) and make a significant contribution to reducing/optimizing operating costs.
• You will work actively in the database administrator team and, together with your colleagues, ensure stable and high-performance database operations with a high level of customer satisfaction.
• You help to keep the database systems up to date with the latest software/security levels and take care of regular and necessary upgrades.

Your Skills and Expertise:

• Three or more years of professional experience in ​​MSSQL database systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows operating system and have practical experience with cloud platforms/cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Knowledge or practical experience in other OS and DB technologies would be nice to have.
• You enjoy understanding complex technical issues and checking for optimization options and have the necessary analytical skills.
• You have a good understanding of licensing and are interested in developing further in this topic.
• You communicate confidently in German and English
