Day Porter

Consistent work schedule Mon-Fri 800am-500pm (1 hour unpaid lunch break)-Downtown Summary of Duties and Responsibilities –Responsible for maintaining the immaculate appearance of the client's building during daytime operations and completing all daily routine/assigned custodial tasks including restocking restroom and break room paper supplies, clean entrance/exit doors/glass, clean/sanitize restrooms throughout the day, pull trash, dust/wet mop spills, and perform special cleaning tasks as requested by client’s senior management. This person will display excellent customer service and effective communication skills with client staff; have a neat, clean appearance; provide custodial backup duties during events/programs; and be comfortable working with chemicals and have knowledge of Safety Data Sheets. Qualifications- Must have at least 1 year of related day porter experience in commercial cleaning, hotel housekeeping or similar industry. Qualified candidates must have effective time management skills, be organized, have effective interpersonal skills, be able to respond appropriately to emergencies, be trustworthy, reliable, motivated, and detail oriented. Must have access to reliable transportation, a SMARTphone for timekeeping (app), be able to work effectively with little supervision, and have a clean background history. This position requires you must be able to meet the essential physical demands of the position including the ability to stand at least 2 hours at a time and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.
