Responsibilities: • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.) • Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are always safe. • Track children’s progress and report to parents • Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche. • Provide daily care for young children (including toileting and diaper changing). • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.Child Care Teacher Age Groups & Hours: Oakleaf: • Lead Teacher(must have CDA), flexible with age groups (toddlers, 2 yr olds, preschool, VPK);; 8:00am - 5:00pmQualifications: • 45 hours of DCF training required • High school diploma or equivalent required • CDA or Teaching Credential required • 1 year of experience in a daycare setting • A passion for early childhood education and helping children grow in positive ways • First Aid and CPR certification • Excellent communication skillsJoin a team that feels like family and enjoys flexible hours and an incredible work-life balance before it’s too late!
