Your Role and Responsibilities
As a senior software developer in the Db2 for z/OS team you will take a leadership role in shaping the future of the Db2 for z/OS. Your responsibilities will include leading the design implementation and testing of complex features that address the evolving needs of our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Client Success to proactively identify and resolve customer issues and contribute to strategic enhancements that drive customer value.

In this role you will be expected to mentor junior developers provide architectural guidance and drive innovation in product engineering. Your strong programming debugging and problem-solving skills will be crucial as you tackle challenging technical problems and ensure that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards. You will also play a key role in defining testing strategies and ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Db2 for z/OS administrator or equivalent certifications.
• Advanced knowledge of z/OS z/VM and system internals with the ability to analyze system output from abends (logs dumps).
• Proficiency in Python Node.js JCL Assembler and PLX.
• Extensive experience with Db2 for z/OS including Db2 application development and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in product engineering and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions.
