Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application.
- Dedicated to quality, using exceptional communication skills to keep our world class systems running.
- Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and design a resolution based on deep product knowledge.
- Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development database systems within a defined operating model and processes
- Provide L2/L3 software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands.
- In depth SQL Server Database Administration experience, develop, test, or demonstrate databases.
- Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management.
- Install database management systems (RDBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.
- Working knowledge on MSSQL Cluster, Log-shipping and Mirroring.
- Database upgrade, Backup & Restore.
- DB Server Installation and configuration
- Monitoring Database and Server Logs
- Daily database health check monitoring, tuning and minor SQL reviews.
- Ticket handling includes incidents service requests and problem management.
- Ability to articulate an issue and be responsive to client, handle client communication.
- Configuration and release management. Ability to document Root cause analysis. Service Delivery per SLAs.
- Database administration for Production and other environments, Backup and Recovery activities.
- Ability to carry out DR activities and configure HA and clustering .
- Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting and resolving performance issues There may be occasional travel to the client’s office in Chicago.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MSSQL Database Administration, Knowledge on Mongo Postgre SQL too.
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud Knowledge (Azure/AWS), DB2 Databases.
- Knowledge on ITIL standard and best practices
- Take part in 24x7 Shift Rotations
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
