Your mission

We are looking for a Production and Development DBA MySQL Team Lead to lead our Data Platform Team. Reporting to the Data Platform Director, you will be responsible for the team's daily operations and development for critical missions, and enterprise database systems in PostgreSQL and MySQL. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of DBAs, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Support the development team in optimizing queries, and software deployment and contribute in database design and development.
• Responsible for managing and supporting PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Install, Configure, and Maintain PostgreSQL and MySQL, including monitoring the health of database performance.
• Responsible for all administration activities like backup, recovery, index, replication (RDS), health checkup, etc.
• Join the on-call duty, shift routine, and solve critical database issues.
• Monitor databases to optimize database performance and diagnose issues.
• Work with development and operations teams to tune production queries for optimal performance.
• Provide technical support for database environments/applications, including software installation, database creation, upgrades, patches, etc. 

• 3+ years as a PostgreSQL and MySQL DBA Team Leader
• 3+ years of experience with development and production environments
• 3+ years of database design, optimization & performance tuning
• 3+ years of experience with AWS or AZURE 
• Application and infrastructure – stored procedures, query optimizations, code quality improvement
• Linux/Unix – shell scripting, server analysis, infrastructure management - advantage
• Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
