Responsibilities - A Day in the life • Operate company-owned tractor-trailer or straight trucks to transport freight between designated locations. • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment. • Adhere to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely delivery. • Maintain a safe driving record and comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport. • Manage electronic logging devices (ELDs) to accurately record driving hours and activities. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, service center personnel, and customers. • Provide courteous and professional interaction with customers, ensuring a positive representation of ACT. • Proactively support operations by assisting supervisors with key tasks and initiatives.
