As a Delivery Consultant you will work closely with IBM clients and partners to design deliver and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients' goals. In this role you will apply your technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills such as problem-solving issue/hypothesis-based methodologies communication and service orientation skills. - Understanding clients' main challenges and developing solutions that helps them reach true business value by working thru the phases of design development integration implementation migration and product support with a sense of urgency .
- Creating and executing agile plans where you are responsible for installing and provisioning assets testing migrating to production and day-two operations.
- Conducting and participating in technical solution workshops.
- Developing successful relationships at all levels —from engineers to CxOs—with experience of navigating challenging debate to reach healthy resolutions.
- Demonstrating a natural bias towards self-motivation curiosity initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client partner and IBM team.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in designing implementing migrating and supporting zLinux workloads ensuring high availability performance and security for mission-critical systems.
- Provide consulting and technical delivery services for Linux on IBM Z environments.
- Design and implement zLinux solutions aligned with client requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead migration projects for workloads to IBM Z platforms.
- Ensure system reliability performance tuning and security hardening for enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate zLinux into hybrid and cloud architectures.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation runbooks and operational procedures.
- Support clients with problem resolution troubleshooting and optimization of zLinux systems.
- Linux on IBM Z (zLinux) – Deep understanding of architecture configuration and administration.
- IBM Z stack environments – Familiarity with virtualization networking and storage integration.
- System performance and availability – Skills in tuning monitoring and high-availability configurations.
- Security best practices – Experience implementing compliance and security controls on zLinux.
- Integration with cloud and hybrid environments.
- Automation tools such as Ansible for IBM Z.
- Familiarity with z/OSMF workflows and REST APIs for IBM Z.
Solid background in IBM Z architecture virtualization technologies (LPARs z/VM KVM on Z) and integration of zLinux environments with distributed systems and hybrid cloud platforms. Capable of working closely with clients to assess requirements define technical solutions and execute projects aligned with business and operational objectives.Demonstrates strong analytical skills customer focus and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global teams. Experienced in troubleshooting complex environments optimizing system performance and ensuring operational stability in enterprise-scale infrastructures.
