Job Description
- Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g., graphic, interaction, industrial, architecture, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience leading strategy and designing products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience demonstrating clear insights, problem-solving, and simple solutions with an excellent UX portfolio.
- Experience working with executive designers, product managers, and engineers.
- Experience with key contributions to innovative products and UI Platforms.
- Knowledge of mobile and web technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Google's iOS App is a part of modernizing the Google Search experience and a meaningful vehicle in expanding the ways we move the Google Search experience forward. In this role, you will lead our IGA Design team in managing the exciting and impactful opportunity in front of it. This team focuses on building useful and beautiful experiences for our iOS experience.
As the UX Director for Google's App on iOS, you'll help define and drive the future of the App's direction. You'll identify opportunities, help set product strategy and empower teams to push the boundaries of what's possible at the intersection of user experience, business, product, and the industry. You'll pursue forward-thinking product design that can impact Google's ecosystem. You will report to the UX Lead for the Ask and Explore Pillar of Google Search.
You will need to leverage collaboration skills and be able to build perspective and influence Google's teams to design and deliver compelling experiences that are considered in terms of App capabilities and coherence. You will develop your team through career development, ensure they protect time for innovation and big thinking, and foster connections and coherence with Google initiatives landing in App. You will develop and cultivate teams where diversity of thought is the expectation.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $235,000-$353,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Work across Google's landscape to identify opportunities for innovation, insight, and improvement that your team could catalyze.
- Work cross-functionally within Apps and across Search, as well as non-search organizations to make tough trade-offs to get the right experiences built.
- Develop and grow a talented and motivated design team.
- Build relationships with leaders inside and outside of the team to drive user experiences that are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed.
- Set the stage for organizational excellence, while setting standards in execution excellence.
