JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Apply the principles of mechanical engineering to the design, development, testing, and validation of engine installation components.

* Understands all functional requirements for a new design and understands root cause of an failing existing design to provide validated solutions.

* Design engine installation components to satisfy all cross functional requirements and collaborate with component suppliers to optimize for cost, quality and manufacturability.

* Collaborate with test and validation team to establish necessary activities to deliver fully validated designs.

* Manage project list to ensure all deadlines are met.

* Ensure validated root causes are identified for any failed components as well as developing fully validated solutions.

* Develop designs to meet customer requirements during new product development.

* Plan and support the execution of validation of designs both in controlled settings and possibly with actual customer applications.

* Collaborate with supply chain engineering and manufacturing to bring solutions to market in timely and cost efficient fashion.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

* Mechanical engineering degree preferred OR other engineering degrees.

* 8-10 years of engineering experience required.

* Some kind of 3D modeling experience

* Proficient in Creo/Pro-E, Desired:

* General understanding of machinery and construction equipment with general understanding of engines and engine installation, and validation and instrumented testing methods.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work in team / collaborative environment with strong planning and organizing skills necessary to deliver projects on time.
