Designer, Soft Bags & Accessories (Graphic & Brand-Focused)
Location:Los Angeles, CA
We’re seeking a versatile,trend-savvy Designerto create innovative soft bags and accessories that align with established brand guidelines. You’ll blendgraphic design(surface prints, patterns, color palettes,) with an understanding ofbag/accessory construction, focusing on concept ideation, brand cohesion, and market relevance. Working alongside the PD brand team, you’ll ensure every design reflects the brand’s identity, storytelling, and positioning in the market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Brand Adherence
• Create compelling graphics, prints, and surface designsfor soft bags and accessories—balancing trend awareness with strict brand standards.
• Translate brand guidelines intoinnovative product visuals, ensuring consistency in color, typography, and overall aesthetic.
• Work closely with the PD brand team touphold brand identity, effectively representing brand narratives through design elements.
2. Trend Research & Visual Strategy
• Conductmarket and store visitsto gather insights on competitive products, consumer preferences, and emerging styles.
• Build trend decksthat highlight key findings in color, materials, and design approaches, incorporating them into new concepts.
• Present research tocross-functional teams, guiding design direction with data-driven recommendations.
3. Collaboration & Communication
• Partner with thebrand product development teamto refine concepts and ensure feasibility without compromising design integrity.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to translate brand storytelling intostandout visual designs.
• Maintainclear, consistent communicationwith team members, ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines.
4. Creative Process & Quality Control
• Producetechnical drawings and accurate renderings(Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop) that serve as a blueprint for sample creation.
• Provide feedback on samples and mock-ups, focusing onaesthetic details and brand consistency
• Maintain anorganized workflow, meeting deadlines and adapting quickly to new or changing briefs.
Who You Are
• 3-5 yearsof experience in graphic design or product design within bags, accessories, or a related fashion sector.
• Proficient inAdobe Illustrator & Photoshop; additional software like InDesign or 3D modeling tools is a plus.
• Passionate about brand identity—skilled in weaving brand guidelines into all design outputs.
• Adept atresearching trendsandanalyzing market data, using insights to inspire fresh concepts.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present visual ideas andcollaborateeffectively with cross-functional teams.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple projects in afast-paced environment.
• Ateam playerwho thrives on creative brainstorming and is committed to delivering high-quality design work.
• Maintain a bachelor’s degreeorrelevant post-secondary education in Graphic Design.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Base Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
