Duties include: Provide tech. support for multiple applications & system software technologies. Develop, document, & execute unit test cases. Resolve complex tech. problems with assigned apps & work processes. Review & recommend test plans for impacted areas & ensure end to end test coverage. Recommend improvements to existing processes or propose new ones, to improve quality of project deliverables. Ensure reviews for quality of app. software designs to ensure optimal use of software systems. Lead tech. projects. Assist in developing tech. knowledge & performance skills of team. Recommend new technologies. Implement & support proof-of-concept activities for new techs. Develop & obtain sign offs on tech. specs, design docs, functional designs & requirements. Guide teams on long term solutions for resolving production problems & reducing defect leakage. Ensure code Is being developed per standards & ensure unit test cases are being developed, documented & executed with test results recorded. Lead team in completion of phase gates for projects. Remote work / telecommuting benefits available - Hybrid position. Must report to office worksite 2 days per wk. Must reside within MSA of office worksite. MIN REQ: Bach. degree, or foreign equiv., in Info. Tech., Software Eng. or related field. Will accept a Bach. Equivalent based on combination of education as determined by professional evaluation svc. 6 yrs exp. req. in job offered or Info. Tech. SPECIAL REQ: 4 yrs exp in: Java program. language; Guidewire Policy Center configuration & integration; business process life cycles & systems in property & casualty insurance domain. 3 yrs exp in Gosu program. language. 1 yr exp in: cloud development with Guidewire Cloud; and in modernizing & converting legacy systems to modern cloud-based systems. Up to 5% short-term domestic travel may be involved to attend industry conferences. The range for this position is $140,317 to $151,200.
