Job Summary: The role of the Developer, Specialist – EDI is to design and implement complex Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) business solutions through technical leadership, independent development, and collaboration. Ensures high-quality application development aligned with business and user needs. Responsibilities: • Lead technical design and implementation of complex EDI solutions using ANSI ASC X12 (X12) standards for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability ACT (HIPAA) • Experience with transaction such as 837 Claim, 834 Enrollment, 820 Payment, 278 Prior Authorization, 270 Eligibility Inquiry, and 271 Eligibility Response transactions • Independently contribute to and guide software development projects • Develop multi-year strategies and roadmaps for client programs • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine system requirements and solutions • Create conceptual designs, technical specifications, process flows, and screen/storyboard designs • Review and guide application architecture, code quality, and implementation checklists • Conduct evaluations of new technologies and guide proof of concepts • Integrate third-party systems and ensure application security and scalability • Participate in and lead peer reviews, code reviews, and technical documentation • Provide mentoring, publish white papers, and uphold development best practices.Qualifications: Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or experience in lieu of degree • 8+ years of software development experience • Strong knowledge of Edifecs EDI gateway functionality • Experience with SDLC, STLC, agile methodologies • Healthcare industry and Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) experience • Strong understanding of enterprise, web, and database architecture • Proficiency in object-oriented programming, front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS), and back-end (Java, ASP.NET, Python) technologies • Database expertise in both relational (Oracle, SQL Server) and non-relational (MongoDB, Cassandra) systems • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, SVN, Jenkins, GitLab, and Fortify Preferred Qualifications • Experience with application frameworks (Spring, Hibernate), and servers (Tomcat, WebLogic) • Skills in responsive UI design and SSO/IAM integration • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud) • Proficiency in data modeling, governance, and performance tuning • Expertise in COTS products (COGNOS, Salesforce, PEGA, IBM DataStage, etc.), including customization and integration Why us?
